چکیده
Sustained increase in plastic use has placed a significant burden on waste disposal infrastructure. Pyrolysis is the process of decomposing high-molecular-weight compounds by heating plastics at 500–1000 °C without oxygen. This considerably reduces greenhouse gas emissions and high alternative energy effect (0.57 TOE ton−1). After separation process, oil produced pyrolysis (C5–C20) can yield naphtha (C6–C7). Subsequently, hydrogen be through reforming reaction this oil. Here, we from over Ni/Ce-Zr-Mg/Al2O3 catalyst using steam process. A model combining major substances C6 C7 (hexane, hexene, heptane, heptene, toluene) was formed. From products, obtained based analysis H2, CO, CO2 concentrations chromatography. The N2 O2 addition analyzed within temperature range 750–850 °C, steam/carbon (S/C) ratio 0.6–4, space velocity 7600–19,100 h−1. In addition, durability test performed 3 wt.% catalysts for 100 h; 91.3% maintained refined

Stable Hydrogen Production from Ethanol through Steam Reforming Reaction over Nickel-Containing Smectite-Derived Catalyst
Hydrogen production through steam reforming of ethanol was investigated with conventional supported nickel catalysts and a Ni-containing smectite-derived catalyst. The former is initially active, but significant catalyst deactivation occurs during the reaction due to carbon deposition. Side reactions of the decomposition of CO and CH4 are the main reason for the catalyst deactivation, and these...
متن کاملFe−Ni−MCM-41 Catalysts for Hydrogen-Rich Syngas Production from Waste Plastics by Pyrolysis−Catalytic Steam Reforming
A two-stage pyrolysis−catalytic steam reforming process was used with mesoporous MCM-41 supported iron and nickel bimetallic catalysts for hydrogen-rich syngas production from a simulated mixture of waste plastics. Different Fe/Ni weight ratios (00:20, 05:15, 10:10, 05:15, and 20:00) have been investigated to determine the influence on hydrogen production. The results showed that the presence o...
متن کاملProcessing real-world waste plastics by pyrolysis-reforming for hydrogen and high-value carbon nanotubes.
Producing both hydrogen and high-value carbon nanotubes (CNTs) derived from waste plastics is reported here using a pyrolysis-reforming technology comprising a two-stage reaction system, in the presence of steam and a Ni-Mn-Al catalyst. The waste plastics consisted of plastics from a motor oil container (MOC), commercial waste high density polyethylene (HDPE) and regranulated HDPE waste contain...
متن کاملSteam Reforming and Gasification of Pyrolysis Oil Reactor and Process Development for Syngas Production from Biomass
Gasification of pyrolysis oil was studied in a fluidized bed over a wide temperature range (523-914 °C) with and without the use of nickel-based catalysts. Noncatalytically, a typical fuel gas was produced. Both a special designed fluid bed catalyst and a crushed commercial fixed bed catalyst showed an initial activity for syngas (H2 and CO) production at T >700 °C. However, these catalysts los...
